Arnold, MO

Jessica met me in Arnold at Jason and Andrea's house. We stayed from Sunday night until Friday. Jessica was pretty stressed out over circumstances in her life and coming to grips with the reality of it. But with her afternoon of spa treatment from her "sis" Andrea, and a visit to the Cheesecake Factory she was hopefully on her way to getting her feet underneath her again. She seems to be happier since she has returned to Carbondale. She is filling out apps for different schools to get accepted into PA school when she graduates in May. She is also getting out and about and getting to know new people and getting in contact with others she hasn't seen in a long time.
Also I just learned tonight Jason is being groomed to take the group leader position at his work, and Andrea is going to be the manager at the new spa. GO TEAM!!!
Of course, Jon is doing great too. He's in lo.. oops better not say the l word, but we all know it! He has a meeting in Detroit Friday the 14th and he will be driving over to spend the wkend with us!!! Can't wait---but they are predicting a heat wave that we haven't had in over 50 years. Geez, go figure.
Trip to Sandra's To Pick Up Dogs

Well the trip to pick up my dogs was fast but long. I left on Friday morning and spent the night with Jessica. I didn't sleep but about 3 hrs Thursday night so I decided when I got to Jessicas I was going to go straight to bed because she was at work until midnight. Jason and Andrea surprised me by coming down to see me so I ended up finally falling asleep on the floor about 3 Saturday Morning. I got up at 6 and waited for Jason and Andrea to get ready to leave because they both had to work that day. I left Jessica's house about 8am, traveled until 3:30 and stopped at the Soddy Daisy Walmart to pick up dog collars, leashes, food for me.
When I finally made it up the hill with the car going "clunk, clunk" all the way, the dorgs were all thrilled to see me--even the notorious bitch sisters. It was coming up a storm so they all ran into the trailer without any coaxing. I shared my hot dogs with all of them, actually I bought 2 things of cheap hot dogs in case Frigga needed persuading to let me out of the car. Frigga spent the 2 hrs that I was awake putting her head on my knee and whining in that strange way she does. She looked like she was asking me what happened to Sandy, where was her master. I took a hot bath, called Gary, reception was bad, managed to tell him I made it--the car had a bad problem, I would talk to him the next day about it. The tunderstorm hit and then I had no reception so I turned the phone off so I could finally get some sleep. I was too tired to even attempt to clean up the dogs, decided they could wait until I got to Jason's.
At 2:30 in the morning, I woke up to the dogs barking and raising hell. A knock came at the back door. Holy Crap, why Me? I peaked around the living room corner to see and it turned out to be Jon. It seems his dad called him saying he needed to get to me. Gary couldn't call me and my car was screwed up and he needed Jon to be there to check it out. Big Panic! Jon had been at a party all night---I said talk to you later I am going to bed. Jon crashed on top of MamaO's old bed and I went back to sleep in the other room.
The next day I ask Jon to take me to the cemetery to check on MamaO's grave. Took some pics, left MamaO a milky way I had purchased the day before at WalMart, and then we ate at Waffle House. We went back to the house to look at my car and discovered the drive shaft that makes it either a 4 wheel drive or 2 wheel drive was screwed up. Straigtened up the house, opened the door to the car--Happy and Molly jumped in ready to go, gave the dogs fresh water, said my goodbyes and thank you to Jon, dumped the trash and I was on my way to St. Louis. Geez, long drive with flea ridden, deer shit smelling dogs!
Everyone take note---WT finished his pump house. It was a team effort but it finally got finished. Looks great!

We"re Clean!!

We took Happy and Molly to the Dog Car Wash in Arnold Missouri where Jason and Andrea lives. It is in a car wash with a set up just like a professional dog groomer. It had the big table with a ramp to walk them up into it. A long hose overhead, with a chain to tie them to so they couldn't get out of the tub. You deposited a coin then you rinse, then flea soap/dip, then rinse, then cream rinse, then rinse all for 10 dollars. Beats 40 bucks a dog at a groomer.
So soft and clean they are now.
